Can You Drive With A Bulging Disk?

You can drive with a bulging disc, but you have to be cautious. Sitting for long periods increases spinal pressure, especially in the lower back. If driving makes your pain worse, take frequent breaks to stand, stretch, or walk for a few minutes. I often recommend using a lumbar support cushion and adjusting your seat so your hips and knees stay level. Avoid leaning forward, that’s when the pressure builds the most. Short trips are usually fine, but listen to your body. If driving aggravates your pain, it’s best to address the root cause before it becomes more limiting.
