What Pops During A Neck Adjustment?

That pop you hear during a neck adjustment is simply gas being released from the joint, similar to cracking your knuckles. It’s called a cavitation and happens when pressure inside the joint changes quickly. It’s not bones grinding or anything breaking, it’s a normal and harmless part of the process. The sound just means the joint has been mobilized and movement restored. What really matters is how you feel afterward, most patients notice less tension, better range of motion, and a surprising sense of lightness in their neck and shoulders.
