What Does A Bulging Disk Feel Like?
A bulging disc can feel like deep, achy pressure in your lower back or neck. Some people describe it as sharp pain that radiates down the leg or arm, depending on which disc is affected. You might also feel tingling, numbness, or weakness if the disc is pressing on a nerve. What’s happening is that the outer part of the disc is bulging out and irritating nearby nerves. The good news? Those nerves can calm down quickly once the pressure is relieved. When I start treatment, patients usually notice the pain becoming less sharp, mobility returning, and that constant tightness beginning to fade, often within a few sessions.
