How Do You Confirm A Bulging Disc?

The best way to confirm a bulging disc is through a physical exam and, if needed, an MRI. During the exam, I check for nerve irritation, reflex changes, muscle weakness, and movement restrictions, these tell me where the problem is coming from. An MRI gives us a clear image of the disc itself. It shows if the disc is bulging, how far it’s protruding, and whether it’s pressing on a nerve root. Once we know exactly what’s happening, we can build a care plan to reduce pressure, restore motion, and get you back to pain-free function safely and effectively.
