What Are The Red Flags For Spinal Compression?

Red flags for spinal compression include severe or worsening back pain, loss of bladder or bowel control, significant leg weakness, and numbness in the inner thighs or groin. These symptoms can indicate serious nerve involvement. Other warning signs are unrelenting pain that doesn’t improve with rest or pain accompanied by fever, weight loss, or night sweats. If you experience any of these, it’s critical to seek medical attention right away. In most cases, though, spinal compression from posture or disc issues responds very well to chiropractic decompression and adjustments.
