Who Should Not Do Decompression Therapy?

Most people tolerate spinal decompression well, but it’s not suitable for everyone. Individuals with recent spinal fractures, severe osteoporosis, spinal fusion hardware, or certain cancers should avoid it unless cleared by their physician. Pregnant women and people with abdominal aortic aneurysms are also not candidates for mechanical traction. That’s why we always perform a full evaluation before starting.
